My Quiet
 
Quiet exhales breaths of silent in silence
Quiet rests amid stillness and soundless
Quiet stays amongst peaceful and still
Quiet resides between hush and tranquil
Quiet is not silence nor is it silent.
 
My quiet does not mean I’m angry
My quiet does not suggest I’m lonely
My quiet does not reflect the mood I’m in
My quiet only show that I’m thinking
Reflecting and contemplating a thought or idea.
 
When quiet there’s no want for a ‘are you ok’
When quiet there’s no need for agreements of choice
When quiet there’s no necessity to share moments of thought
When quiet there’s no desire to search for probable answers
To solitary questions and suggestions unasked for.
 
If my quiet should trouble your thoughts of me
If my quiet should strain your ability to love me
If my quiet should upset your equilibrium of believe
If my quiet creates anxiety or restless judgements
Renounce fear with a deep belief and thoughtful smile.
 
Soon my quiet will travel new roads of hope
Soon my quiet will open different doors of opportunity
Soon my quiet will encourage unusual views on how to see
Soon my quiet will carry along with it love and beauty
So, hold on to my hand as I walk you through my dreams of quiet.
