This broken road I travel upon
Twisting and turning
Leading to just another cross road
Junctions of difficult choices
Sometimes u-bends taking me right back
To places I don’t want to be.

Up and down
Valleys, steep mountain riffs
Pushing towards an open abyss
Leaving me once again
Where I have started off.
Then yesterday, maybe the day before
A new road to travel on
Each hour a new discovery
Allowing me to look up and see
Time to explore a new horizon
Where the sun is not setting
But rising to a brand new day.
